Donate for the Park

Keoladev National Park is a very important place from several points. It is home to over 230 species of migratory birds. In addition, it is also home to several species of home birds and small animals.

Initially, when hunting was allowed, the birds faced threat from the hunters' bullets. After hunting and entry of locals were banned in the park, it was expected that the situation would improve. But that was not the case as there were several violent protests by the locals, who used to graze their cattle in the park area and collected firewood from the park.

Major threats to the park system are derived from:

• Shortage of water
• Extensive growth of weeds inside the park
• Agricultural run-offs from the neighbouring villages which contribute pollutants such as heavy metals and pesticides

There is urgent need to promote conservation of the park. Keoladev Research Foundation is making conservation efforts in this direction since long. But there has always been a severe financial crunch in its endeavour.

You may support KRF efforts for conserving the park in either of the following ways:

• One awareness camp: Rs 2,000, or US $ 50
• An event with students: Rs 2,000, or US $ 50
• Publication of awareness material: Rs 10,000 or US $ 250
