Resource material being distributed among the women participants

With the shrinking opportunities of employment in rural areas, the Government of India introduced self help group model about a decade ago. NGOs all over India were entrusted the task of forming SHGs and building their capacity.

KRF too was assigned to constititue SHGs of women in five villages of Alwar district – Dhekada, Mangalwas, Jatiyan, Dhaulidoob, Mach and Todiyar – and build their capacity. The add-on was linking women SHGs with health activities.

Recently, KRF has started imparting vocational training to SHGs in Roopwas and Bayana blocks of Bharatpur district under a scheme of Zilla Parishad, Bharatpur.
